The ways in which we view ourselves, the people around us, and the space we all inhabit, is continuously being reshaped by a constant current of stories.
Some of these narratives push us closer together, while others pull us further apart.
Navigator Studios is a team of filmmakers based in Portland, Oregon, with a shared passion for crafting stories that can facilitate connection. With a focus on authentic documentary productions, our mission is to utilize the power of storytelling to support and expand the impact of the people and organizations dedicated to improving our world and all the lives within it.
Our work has provided us the great privilege of witnessing numerous accounts of people encountering some of the greatest challenges of the human experience, and discovering something beautiful on the other side. Our hope is that by sharing these examples of courage, compassion, and collaboration, we can help remind each other (and ourselves) of a truth that is so easy to forget.
Despite the overwhelming amount of narratives that echo out a chorus of separation, isolation, and hate, we believe the diversity that so often divides us can become our species’ greatest strength. During our time here, we will advocate for the stories that can lead us towards the formation of a true community - one comprised of individuals empowered to discover a specialized role that only they can fulfill, enabling humanity to navigate whatever comes next.
